Mr Roger Harrison

After many years shooting digital I started dabbling with film again in 2011 and since 2014 I've used film 99.9% of the time.

I like to think of myself as not gear-centric and I use a wide variety of cameras and formats from 35mm to 5x4, Holgas, vintage cameras, pinhole cameras and so on. The reality, though, is that the vast majority of my photos are taken with Hasselblads, previously V System cameras such as the 503CX, and more recently with an H1.

Seascapes tend to dominate my photos, partly because I live by the sea and have the glorious Glamorgan Heritage Coast on my doorstep, and partly because I've always had a fascination for the sea.

I enjoy black and white, and have my own darkroom, but transparency film, and Velvia 50 in particular, is my main medium. There is a simple joy in looking at an unadulterated transparency on a light box or a projector screen.
