An event to have your Images for Screen submission assessed for the Associate Distinction (ARPS) in Applied Photography.

Applied Photography - Photography which has been produced for a specific end purpose.

Additional Criteria - Statement of Intent (150 words maximum)
Additional Requirements -  Appropriate evidence of the end purpose should be submitted. .

Important updates for 2019 assessments
All 2019 assessments will be held at RPS House - Bristol - Paintworks, BS4 3AR.

All portfolios must have arrived at the RPS at least 14 days prior to the assessment date.

Assessment Display Wall Dimensions
•The maximum height between the display rails is 23” (585mm).
•The maximum length of the display area is 21ft (6.4m

Opening times

RPS House Bristol. Members of staff are attendance from 9:00am til 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Portfolio delivery/collection can be made during these times by appointment only. Our Gallery is open as follows: Thursday 10am – 6pm; Friday 11am - 7pm; Saturday 10am – 5pm; Sunday 10am – 5pm Portfolios can be delivered and collect during these times (The Gallery is closed Monday to Wednesday, other facilities open by appointment only). Cancellation policy

Distinctions Cancellation Policy. After submitting your application form, if for any reason you are unable to send your submission or need to make other changes, please e-mail the relevant level lrps@rps.org or arps@rps.org or frps@rps.org. Any cancellations or change requests must be made via e-mail. If you cancel/defer within 14 days of your assessment date you will be fully charged for the assessment. We are unable to offer a refund or deferral. You can request once only to cancel/defer 15 days or more prior to your assessment, without any charge, but all future requests will incur a £25 administration charge. The Society is unable to refund any cancellation or offer a transfer to another event if the attendee does not notify the Distinctions Department by e-mail 14 days prior to the event start date. email distinctions@rps.org The Society reserves the right to cancel any event 7 days prior to its start date, or less than 24 hours due to adverse weather conditions or extraordinary circumstances beyond its control. All attendees are advised to check hotel and travel cancellation/refund policies, as the Society is unable to offer compensation for any loss.

Hearing and access requirements

Accessibility - If you have any accessibility requirements, please contact us on RPSHouse@rps.org in advance so we can assist you in your visit to RPS House. Though there is some accessibility parking in Paintworks, we have some private parking spaces we can reserve for those with accessibility requirements. Please contact us in advance if you would like to reserve a space. From street level car parking there are lifts available to reach RPS House on the raised ground floor. Within RPS House, all areas are fully accessible with a lift and ramps and restrooms on each floor
