Print 2 Perfection - Colin Hurrell (PermaJet)

DIG Eastern is pleased to welcome back Colin Hurrell from PermaJet to run this practical printing workshop. Colin will be using a Canon 8750i printer and possibly an Epson P600 printer for monochrome printing.

The programme for the day will cover:

  • Brief overview of monitor calibration, why and how
  • Paper profiling, why and how
  • Choosing the right paper for the right image, including a run through of the different papers available
  • Printing off members images on different paper choices (explaining the reasons behind the choice)
  • Explaining the different media and printer setting to get the best from the paper, printer and ink combination


The workshop can accommodate up to 20 people so early booking is advised. If you would like to have one of your images printed on the day, please bring along a USB stick with your images.

Opening times

The event will start at 11.00 am with doors opening from 10.30. It is anticipated that the workshop will finish at about 16.00. Tea/Coffee and Biscuits will be available on arrival and at break times during the day. You will need to bring a packed lunch, although there is a pub and shop within walking distance of the venue. Parking is limited and you may need to park your car a short walk away from the venue. Foxton is a quiet village approx. 6 miles SW of Cambridge, just off the A10 to Royston. There is a regular bus service to Cambridge and Royston and Foxton Station is on the Cambridge - Kings Cross Main Line. To find us put CB22 6RN into your SatNav or Google Maps.

Cancellation policy

A full refund will be given for cancellation more that 2 weeks before the event. Cancellation less than 2 weeks in advance of the event will be at the discretion of the event organiser.The building is fully accessible and has level access from outside. There is an induction loop and amplification system with two radio microphones.
