Colour management between screen, computer and printer involves a complex set of criterion and decisions to arrive at the best possible rendition on screen or paper.

This interactive workshop explains the digital photographic colour managed workflow and why it is so important in order to get the best results from your digital images

Whether this is your first exposure to these aspects of photography or you are experienced in preparing images for print, this workshop will improve your understanding of colour, colour management, colour reproduction and the terms related to them

The workshop will cover the digital workflow from Camera to Print and will include: -

  • Understanding colour and its application in photography
  • Camera calibration and settings
  • Monitor calibration and profiles
  • Printer and paper profiling
  • ‘rendering intent’, and
  • projection.

Whether you plan to print your own images or have them printed by a professional printshop, the workshop will be of interest to both the beginner and the more experienced photographer giving both a better understanding of colour management and the settings required to manage it, control it and achieve consistency in results.

This workshop has been developed and will be presented by Dave Peckham who is a Professional Commercial Photographer based in Poole, Dorset, and has been involved with a professional photo print and restoration lab for 30 years.
