‘Taster’ print exhibition

Inspired by Crossrail, this is a selection from the photographic project tracing the route of the new Elizabeth Line across central London, recording people and places encountered along the way. Closely following the route of the newly tunnelled linebelow, photographs record happenings on the surface above. These images are complemented by inclusion of photographs of Crossrail construction activities on the new line and stations. Geographic coverage runs from North Kensington in the west to Stratford and Abbey Wood in the east.

Project team participants: Philip Brown, Michael Colman, Hilary Everett LRPS, Mo Greig ARPS, Lorraine Grey LRPS, Anila Hussain, John Kelly LRPS, Greg Lambert ARPS, Susi Luard ARPS, Deepika Mistry, Wendy Nowak, Norman Smith LRPS, Val Straw, Anne Roache, Romney Tansley ARPS and Michael Turner.

Over 1800 photos taken from March-October 2017 have been edited by Brian Steptoe FRPS to produce a photobook containing 111 images. Book details are at http://www.rps.org/shop/publications/an-elizabethan-progress.

Exhibition panels show a selection of photographs from the project, superimposed on an impression of an Elizabeth Line train. Book information is also displayed.
